Jake Price grew up with horses on a cattle ranch in Northern California and bought Grand Oaks Farm in Yamhill County 35 years ago. From his farm he runs Jake Price Stables along with his wife, Shirley, where they train, show, breed horses and offer riding lessons. His son, Don Price, assists in the Equestrian Wine Tours.

Jake, a world champion in Carting, English Riding and Western Riding, had the high honor to represent the United States in 1995 at the Equitana, an equestrian sports world fair held in Germany.
